A fresh start

Well after about a 4 month process we finally moved into our new home! It has been a crazy week to say the least. Colin had vacation time this week and absolutely was amazing and moved up from his moms house to our new house in one day! Of course with help from some awesome friends. We have a had so many people bless us with their time and skills.

The house was basically disgusting! The previous owners left it a horrible mess and we have a had a dear friend Maritza cleaning it all week (bless her heart and hands lol). So while she was cleaning, Colin and other friends and family went on a painting frenzy. So far we have painted both living areas, the master bedroom, Jack's room, the studio and half of the laundry room. We still have to finish the laundry room, tear down the wall paper and paint the office, paint the guest bedroom, and texture and paint the entry way. Basically we will be busy for a while.

During all this my sister in law Jordan is planning her wedding and will be getting married in two short weeks! AH! Colin and I both are in her wedding and have so much to do before the big day. It is going to be so uniquely beautiful.

Jack will be six months old on Tuesday the 10th of August. I can't believe we have already enjoyed half a year with this precious child. I just want to stop time and soak it all in. He is laughing and smiling like crazy. We are still having his three hour feedings at night but he is sleeping more soundly now that we are in the new house. He is trying to crawl, but with his big belly it is making it hard for him to lift up haha. We are officially eating solids. We have a fun mixture of fruits and veggies... and a little meat. I know I know you aren't supposed to start meats until around 9months... however you tell this starving child no he can't have substance and see how he responds... not pretty. We limit it to once every couple days but he loves it. I want to put him in swim lessons soon, he absolutely loves the water and I know he would do great in lessons.

I will be posting some pictures soon now that we are getting settled and I can update more too. I feel like I need an outlet to share what God is telling me and doing in our lives. I feel so blessed.
